I had followed the reconstruction closely through the internet, and although much of the line seemed familiar as a result, I was not fully prepared for the drama of the section between Betws Garmon and Beddgelert.
I had booked the Pullman observation car (seat No.1) on a return trip from Caernarfon. The following photos are from the outward journey.
