This day I went for a ride on the Festiniog Railway with my host Alan Norton, which was followed by an enjoyable tour of Boston Lodge works. The weather began to deteriorate further, not really a surprise in north Wales.
Before the trip, I saw Beyer Garratt 138 hauling its Welsh Highland train across Britannia Bridge.
Following the return trip to Blaenau Ffestiniog, which brought back many memories, the Boston Lodge tour started at the old engine shed.
